Sales Trainee

About the role

Join DHL Global Forwarding in Nairobi as a Sales Trainee and support the delivery of business growth, profitability and customer retention across a defined territory. You will work closely with the sales team to implement plans that align with the Group’s strategy and financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Administer sales sub‑function plans, forecasts, revenues, costs and budgets for the assigned territory.
• Develop and manage sales, marketing, pricing, advertising and distribution plans.
• Participate in customer meetings, joint sales visits and support quotation and negotiation processes.
• Assist in creating pricing policies, monitoring profitability and handling price renegotiations.
• Reconcile sales, revenue and cost data against forecasts to spot issues.
• Identify improvement areas through pipeline reporting and collaborate with sales effectiveness teams.
• Research market trends and translate product/service offerings into customer‑focused solutions.
• Support contract negotiations, cross‑selling activities and supply‑chain management processes.
• Maintain sales support tools and processes to enhance sales force effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Individual contributor with strong analytical mindset.
