School Business Manager

About the role

Paxcroft Primary School, part of the EQUA Mead Learning Trust, is looking for a proactive School Business Manager to lead finance, operations and support services. You will work closely with the Headteacher, governors and Trust colleagues to ensure resources are used effectively for the benefit of pupils and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budget planning, financial management and compliance across the school.
• Oversee procurement, contracts, health and safety, site management and risk management.
• Manage and develop support staff, ensuring high performance and efficient deployment.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, governors and external agencies to provide expert advice and support strategic decisions.
• Identify opportunities for income generation, cost savings and operational improvements.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple operational functions.
• Commitment to the school’s vision and to improving pupil outcomes.
• Experience in a senior business or finance role within an educational setting is desirable.

What we offer

• Permanent contract with a salary range of £32,164 – £37,563 per annum (pro rata).
• 37‑hour week across 41 weeks per year.
