School Nurse

About the role

Nova Pioneer Tatu International School seeks a dedicated School Nurse to safeguard the health and well‑being of its students. The nurse will provide day‑to‑day medical care, psycho‑social support, and manage chronic health conditions on campus.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver basic health services to students throughout the school day and night, including medication administration and emergency care.
• Maintain confidential medical records, track medication inventories, and ensure accurate documentation of student health histories.
• Provide psycho‑social support and counseling, and coordinate with the nearest private hospital’s medical staff.
• Inspect boarding house facilities for hygiene standards and report deficiencies to the Director of Operations.
• Manage students with chronic medical conditions or disabilities, advising staff and parents as needed.
• Prepare daily incident reports, support evacuation and referral processes, and liaise with the catering department to promote healthy eating.
• Develop reporting systems for the infirmary and collaborate with procurement to replenish supplies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Nursing with registration as a professional nurse.
• 3–4 years of experience as a registered nurse; experience in a school setting is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build harmonious relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Willingness to reside on the school campus under the provided housing scheme.
• Capability to train students on basic health practices and standards.
