About the role
Makini Schools is seeking a qualified School Nurse to work closely with the Operations Director in creating a healthy environment for students and staff. The role involves delivering confidential health advice, supporting vulnerable children, and promoting health education within the school community.
Key responsibilities
- Assess the health needs of the whole school community and develop a comprehensive health plan, including Health and Safety policies.
- Provide confidential health advice for individual children and counsel parents, caregivers, and staff on childhood illnesses and infectious disease control.
- Support vulnerable children by collaborating with teachers and other professionals.
- Develop and implement a student health plan and emergency nursing procedures for injuries or illnesses.
- Maintain, evaluate, and interpret cumulative health data to address individual student needs.
- Deliver health education and anticipatory guidance to promote assertive health consumption.
