Scientific Coding Expert – Chemistry (Remote, $30/hr)

About the role

We are seeking a Scientific Coding Expert specialized in chemistry to develop and validate rigorous scientific problem specifications and corresponding Python solutions. The role is fully remote and offers a fixed rate of $30 per hour, with a commitment of 40 hours per week and at least 4 hours of overlap with PST business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Write rigorous scientific problem specifications consisting of one main problem and at least three logically connected sub‑problems.
• Implement verified golden solutions in Python with complete unit‑test coverage.
• Design discriminative test cases that clearly differentiate correct from incorrect model outputs.
• Run quality‑control validation checks and iterate based on feedback to meet scientific and coding standards.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Chemistry with strong Python programming skills and experience in scientific computing.
• Ability to write rigorous, well‑posed scientific problems with clear constraints and expected outputs.
• Strong attention to detail with an understanding of scientific correctness, determinism, and test‑case quality.
• Experience in scientific research, scientific writing, AI data annotation, or related analytical work.
