Screen Printing Technical Operator

About the role

Q-Sourcing Limited, trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec, is a manpower management solutions firm operating across East Africa. On behalf of its client, it is recruiting a Screen Printing Technical Operator for a newly created role in Nairobi to support rising demand for screen-printed products. The operator runs screen printing machines to print on plastic jars according to provided artwork.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned screen printing machines and ensure consistent, high-quality output
• Mix inks accurately to match colour specifications and align screens and materials for precise image placement
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues such as misalignment, ink smudging or machine malfunctions
• Meet daily machine output targets, manage material flow to minimise waste and conduct routine quality checks
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance on line clearance and ensure proper product packaging
• Coordinate timely collection of materials from stores and the flaming, printing, drying and packaging processes
• Clean and maintain machines regularly, report equipment issues to technicians and keep records on work order forms
• Keep the work area clean and follow all safety procedures

Required profile

• Minimum KCSE grade C-
• 1-2 years of experience in screen printing operations, especially with plastic products
• Ability to learn quickly and good machine-handling aptitude
• Advantageous: a certificate or diploma in printing or mechanical engineering
• Understanding of manufacturing environments and procedures
• Strong teamwork, communication and attention to detail, with the ability to read and understand English

Required skills

• Familiarity with automatic and manual screen printing
• Knowledge of offset/flexo printing is a plus
