Semi‑Trailer Driver (CE Licence)

About the role

Our client is looking for a qualified, safety‑conscious Semi‑Trailer Driver to join their transport and logistics team in Kenya. You will operate semi‑trailer trucks on internal and regional routes, ensuring timely and secure deliveries while complying with Kenyan traffic laws and NTSA requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate semi‑trailer and articulated vehicles to transport goods within Kenya and, when required, across East African borders.
• Conduct thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to guarantee vehicle roadworthiness.
• Load, secure, and protect cargo throughout transportation.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, fuel consumption records, mileage, and inspection reports.
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws, speed limits, and company safety policies.
• Report accidents, breakdowns, mechanical faults, and other incidents promptly.
• Keep the vehicle clean and proactively report maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers regarding schedules and routes.

Required profile

• Valid Kenyan Category CE driving licence authorising heavy trucks with trailers.
• 3–5 years proven experience driving semi‑trailer or articulated heavy commercial vehicles.
• Valid identification and all relevant transport documentation.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan roads, major transport routes, and road safety regulations.
