About the role
We are looking for a meticulous Senior Accountant to lead our general ledger, financial reporting and compliance functions at Tire World Ltd in Nairobi. The role combines analytical rigor with leadership, guiding junior staff and delivering accurate, timely financial information to support strategic decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate month‑end close.
- Prepare and present financial statements and variance analyses.
- Investigate and resolve complex accounting discrepancies.
- Ensure tax and statutory compliance in line with Kenyan regulations.
- Manage cash‑flow forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
- Mentor and develop junior accounting team members.
- Utilise the company ERP system to streamline accounting workflows.
Required profile
- Detail‑oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in accounting.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP environments.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
