Senior Analyst - Private Markets

About the role

Axian Group is looking for a Senior Analyst to join its Private Markets team. The role supports investment activity across a full spectrum of private‑markets strategies, including fund commitments, co‑investments, direct deals, secondaries and listed private‑market vehicles, with a global focus.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct due‑diligence on primary and secondary fund commitments, assess managers, strategies and track records, and prepare investment memoranda for the investment committee.
• Build and maintain quantitative models for fund‑level performance, cash‑flow projections and portfolio construction impact.
• Evaluate co‑investment opportunities, underwrite transactions, support commercial, financial and structural due‑diligence, and assist in negotiating terms.
• Analyze direct investment opportunities in private companies worldwide, perform financial modelling, valuation and market/competitive analysis, and support deal execution and post‑investment integration.
• Cover listed private‑markets vehicles, conduct public‑market research, comparable analysis and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Track portfolio performance across all investment types, contribute to quarterly and annual reporting, and maintain internal databases and performance dashboards.
• Research thematic and sector trends, benchmark portfolio performance, and help develop investment theses and strategic asset‑allocation discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work on complex, cross‑border investment projects.
• Experience in private‑markets investment processes, including fund and direct‑investment analysis.
