Senior Architect, Enterprise Agentic Automation

About the role

A partner company is looking for a Senior Architect, Enterprise Agentic Automation based in Kenya. You will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade agentic automation initiatives, turning complex business processes into intelligent, scalable workflows. You will work with business stakeholders and engineering teams to identify opportunities, redesign processes and define how AI agents, business rules and people work together, owning delivery from discovery through production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of agentic automation initiatives, from business discovery and solution design through production deployment and value realization.
• Run discovery workshops with process owners to assess workflows, set baselines and define target processes, and decide how AI agents, business rules and human intervention are orchestrated.
• Translate target processes into engineering requirements, including epics, scenarios, acceptance criteria and delivery increments.
• Design enterprise solutions aligned with the reference architecture, introducing new patterns where appropriate.
• Coordinate technical delivery with engineers, managing priorities, dependencies, risks and decisions, and keep stakeholders and sponsors aligned.
• Define and monitor measurable value for each initiative and increment, and feed delivery insights back into the reference architecture and product improvements.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of experience in solution architecture or technical/process consulting, with an engineering background such as Java, JavaScript or a comparable technology.
• Significant experience delivering technical solutions for business stakeholders or customers.
• Proven track record leading process orchestration initiatives from discovery through production.
• Strong business analysis and process management skills, including facilitating discovery and process redesign workshops.
• Experience modelling business processes with BPMN and translating them into solution designs.
• Experience with enterprise solution and data architecture, including integrations, APIs and the data needed by processes and AI agents.
• AI-first mindset, with initial experience designing and building enterprise-grade agentic solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence senior leaders.
• Willingness to learn and use the partner company's product and platform.

Nice to have

• Experience in finance, back-office operations or related domains, such as Procure-to-Pay or Quote-to-Cash.
• Building value cases from operational data and benefits tracking.
• Familiarity with value engineering, process intelligence or process mining tools.
• Working knowledge of platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce or Zoho.
