Senior Associate – Communications & Advocacy (Contract)

About the role

The Senior Associate, Communications & Advocacy will drive the creation of strategic communications and advocacy deliverables for multiple client accounts. Working in a hybrid setting in Nairobi, you will manage projects, craft compelling narratives, and support senior client interactions across global‑health initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Produce strategic communications materials, including pitch decks, fact sheets, social media posts, and digital content.
• Translate complex global‑health concepts into clear, actionable messages for diverse audiences.
• Develop story angles, write press materials, and coordinate media outreach.
• Identify advocacy opportunities, align partners, and manage high‑level events, speaker lists, and agendas.
• Track media trends, policy developments, and funding landscapes that affect client priorities.
• Lead client calls, provide strategic counsel, and coach junior staff on writing and client engagement.
• Maintain project timelines, over‑communicate progress, and proactively solve emerging challenges.
