Senior Associate, Employee Relations & Performance

About the role

The Senior Associate, Employee Relations & Performance will support I&M Bank in maintaining a fair, compliant, and engaging workplace. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will handle employee relations cases, drive performance management processes, and contribute to employee wellness initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, interpret and communicate HR policies in line with Kenyan Labour Laws and bank governance standards.
• Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary cases, grievances, appeals and workplace conduct issues.
• Maintain accurate, auditable documentation of ER cases and disciplinary records.
• Support organisational change initiatives while safeguarding employee engagement and regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance to managers on fair handling of employee matters and participate in disciplinary hearings.
• Coordinate performance review schedules, support managers and employees through the performance cycle, track progress and generate reports.
• Assist in the execution of the Employee Wellness Programme according to the approved calendar.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in employee relations or HR within a regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
