Senior Associate Engineer

About the role

The Senior Associate Engineer ensures reliable and efficient operation of the data centre’s technical infrastructure through maintenance, testing and surveillance of all installed assets. Reporting to the Area Facility Manager, the role supports customers by meeting agreed SLAs and maximising client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment switching procedures and implement energy‑efficiency measures.
• Lead maintenance and repair activities, supervise contractors and guide junior engineers.
• Perform on‑call duties, monitor the facility, and manage incidents and emergency procedures.
• Document progress, issues and results, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, legal and industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or related engineering field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in operations and maintenance of electrical/mechanical systems in a data centre environment.
• Strong problem‑analysis, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
• Proactive, customer‑focused mindset with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• UPS, generator and switchgear operation and maintenance.
• HVAC and fire detection/suppression system troubleshooting.
• Access control systems and electrical/mechanical infrastructure maintenance.
• Use of service‑management tools and Microsoft Office (Excel).
