Senior Backend Engineer - Node.js & AWS (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Node.js and AWS to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance microservices for a high‑traffic platform. The role is fully remote and contract‑based, allowing you to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a cloud‑native environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy Node.js‑based microservices using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation.
• Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement secure and efficient RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Lead architectural decisions for cloud infrastructure, including serverless and containerized solutions.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Develop automated testing suites and CI/CD pipelines using industry‑standard tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Node.js backend development.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and best practices.
