Senior Case Management Coordinator and Technical Quality Lead

About the role

The Senior Case Management Coordinator and Technical Quality Lead will oversee mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) coordination for law enforcement and first responders, ensure program safeguarding and compliance, manage shelter operations, and lead staff wellbeing initiatives across three duty stations in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate specialized MHPSS services, stress‑management support and trauma debriefings for law‑enforcement officers in partnership with an MHPSS consultant.
• Serve as the Program Safeguarding Focal Point, enforcing PSEA, Child Protection and Survivor Safeguarding policies and managing confidential feedback mechanisms.
• Provide administrative supervision to Shelter Managers, conduct field visits, and act as Acting Shelter Manager when needed.
• Design and institutionalize staff wellness and psychological safety frameworks to mitigate vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue.
• Deliver direct clinical MHPSS care for high‑complexity trauma cases and develop standardized clinical toolkits.
• Support strategic planning, budget tracking, donor reporting and represent the organization in inter‑agency and regional counter‑trafficking forums.
• Draft and update SOPs, policy governance documents and MEAL frameworks aligned with IASC guidelines, and run advanced CMS analytics and audits.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (PhD preferred) from an accredited university.
• Active registration and practicing license from the Counsellors and Psychologists Board (CPB) and membership of the Kenya Counselling and Psychological Association.
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct and clean safeguarding/child‑protection background check.
• 6–8 years post‑qualification experience, including at least 3 years in senior leadership or technical advisory roles within humanitarian, migration or counter‑trafficking MHPSS programmes.
• Proven experience in multi‑site management, coordinating MHPSS for law‑enforcement/first responders and supervising multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in case management systems or similar protection/GBV database software.
• Expertise in running advanced data queries, quality‑control audits and creating reporting dashboards.
• Strong ability to ensure data hygiene and compliance with Kenya’s Data Protection Act (2019).
