Senior Consultant – Carbon Markets Advisory

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Carbon Markets Advisory team in Nairobi. The role will support clients in navigating carbon markets, developing projects and securing financing for climate‑related initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and develop policies related to carbon accounting and emissions trading.
• Manage carbon‑market projects from assessment through implementation.
• Provide technical documentation and support for project financing.
• Collaborate with engineering and legal teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Deliver advisory services on sustainable finance and climate‑change strategies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in climate change, environmental management, sustainability, finance, economics or a related discipline.
• Relevant certification or training in carbon accounting, MRV, climate markets or sustainable finance.
• At least three years of experience in carbon markets, project development or climate‑related advisory.
• Proven experience in project assessment, technical documentation and financing support.
