Senior Credit Origination Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Credit Origination Manager to lead the proactive sourcing, assessment, structuring and execution of credit solutions for Business and Commercial Banking clients. The role ensures high‑quality credit submissions, sound risk management and a seamless client experience while driving market penetration and sustainable revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Originate, assess and structure credit facilities across a range of products, including structured finance.
• Lead end‑to‑end credit execution, from initial analysis to deal closing.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to understand funding needs (capex and working capital).
• Design practical, risk‑aligned covenants based on business and model outputs.
• Collaborate with risk, legal and product teams to ensure compliance and optimal deal outcomes.

Required profile

• First degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or a related field.
• Professional banking or credit/risk qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACIB, AKIB).
• 8‑10 years of experience in credit analysis, structuring and execution within key sectors.
• Proven ability to assess client funding needs and translate them into fit‑for‑purpose credit structures.
• Deep sector knowledge and strong credit judgement.
