Senior HR & Administration Officer – Pan‑Africa

About the role

The Senior Officer, HR & Administration, Pan‑Africa will support WUSC’s Phase II initiative across Africa, based in Nairobi. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the role starts on 1 August 2026 and is being re‑advertised to reach a wider pool of candidates; previous applicants remain under consideration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HR operations for WUSC’s Pan‑African team, ensuring recruitment, onboarding, payroll and staff development processes align with organisational policies.
• Oversee administrative functions that support the implementation of the Phase II refugee‑led organization (RLO) programme, including office management and logistics.
• Coordinate with the Head of Operations and project partners to facilitate smooth delivery of technical assistance and capacity‑building activities.
• Maintain compliance with Canadian and Kenyan labour regulations and monitor HR metrics for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in human resources and administration within an international development or non‑profit environment.
• Strong understanding of HR best practices, staff lifecycle management and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work across multiple African countries and collaborate with diverse partners, including refugee‑led organisations.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a commitment to WUSC’s mission for youth empowerment.
