Senior HR & Operations Officer (AIM)

About the role

The Senior HR & Operations Officer (AIM) will oversee HR service delivery and operational efficiency across the AIM region in Kakamega. The role combines recruitment, staff welfare, performance management and compliance with procurement, office administration and fleet management duties.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment, onboarding and probation processes for branch and casual staff, maintaining accurate trackers and statutory documentation.
• Manage contracts, payroll inputs, staff benefits enrollment and HRIS data, ensuring timely timesheets and leave administration.
• Implement occupational health and safety measures, handle incident reporting and promote staff wellness initiatives.
• Coordinate regional procurement activities, from market research and supplier selection to purchase order generation and invoice processing.
• Oversee office administration, fleet management and act as the primary safety and security focal point for the region.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of relevant experience in HR, operations or administration, with knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices.
• Strong communication, organizational and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• PowerPoint presentation skills.
• Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS) for data entry and reporting.
