Senior Human Resources Officer

About the role

Missions of Hope International (MOHI) is looking for a Senior Human Resources Officer in Nairobi to implement and develop its broad HR functions in line with MOHI policies. The postholder also supervises and leads staff as part of the organization's management team.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and identify current and future staffing needs, and build networks of potential employees.
• Lead recruiting and hiring practices and fill vacancies within a week of the established pipelines.
• Capture data accurately and process payroll on time.
• Identify training needs, develop curricula and implement training and development best practices.
• Coordinate the full cycle of performance management.
• Support staff welfare and handle benefits such as medical and insurance.
• Manage HR databases and records, keeping them confidential and compliant with the data protection act.
• Research, develop and update HR policies, procedures and guidelines, and ensure compliance with labor, legal and government laws.
• Prepare accurate reports to track departmental functions and strategic goals, and handle disciplinary matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or Business Management (HR option).
• Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP).
• At least five years of progressively responsible HR management experience.
• Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) in good standing.
• Good understanding of labor laws and regulations.
• Experience managing simultaneous recruitment campaigns and networking.

• Excellent communication, organization, time management and presentation skills.
