Senior Java EE Architect / Developer – Lucerne, up to CHF 165K

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Java EE Architect/Developer to join a leading Swiss IT firm in Lucerne. The position is permanent, hybrid (2 days onsite), and offers a competitive salary up to CHF 165,000 plus a 5% bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop modern Jakarta EE/Java EE frameworks using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Create architectural and design drafts for technical software components.
• Mentor and coach development teams, delivering training on design patterns, TDD, DDD, clean code, and agile architectures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement new solutions and ensure high‑quality delivery.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 + years of experience as a software architect or senior Java developer.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex technical issues.
• Fluent or advanced German speaking environment (German not required to be perfect).
