Senior Manager / Associate Director – Strategy & Transactions

About the role

EY-Parthenon is expanding its Nairobi team and is looking for a Senior Manager / Associate Director to lead strategy development, transaction advisory and commercial projects across diverse engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new client opportunities, prepare proposals and participate in pitch meetings.
• Collaborate with other EY service lines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Evaluate financial, accounting and fundamental data to extract actionable insights.
• Lead strategy and transformation initiatives such as market entry, growth, turnaround, go‑to‑market, commercial due diligence, divestments and cost transformation.
• Manage independent projects or modules, including data gathering, analysis and recommendation formulation.
• Conduct valuation analyses for financial reporting, M&A, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Develop complex financial models from scratch and present insights to clients.
• Manage client relationships and ensure high‑quality delivery.
• Coordinate and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (MBA or Master’s a plus); professional qualifications such as CFA preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in strategy or consulting, with strong project management skills.
• Proven business development track record, including proposal leadership and client relationship management.
• Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills to senior executives and boards.
• Passion for coaching, talent development and building high‑performing teams.
