Senior Manager, Investigations

About the role

GiveDirectly is establishing a new Central Intake and Investigations Hub to handle staff‑related concerns across the organisation. As Senior Manager, you will build this function, lead complex investigations, and ensure the hub operates independently and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Design and launch the Central Intake and Investigations Hub, securing organisation‑wide adoption.
• Lead the most complex investigations, produce findings reports and recommendations.
• Define investigation standards, oversee quality assurance, and provide training direction.
• Maintain the central record system for staff matters and generate regular reporting for leadership.
• Shape case‑management technology, incorporating automation and AI to improve triage and documentation.
• Recruit, manage and develop future Program Managers for investigations and intake.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years leading workplace misconduct investigations, including senior staff and sexual misconduct cases.
• Experience setting investigation standards and quality‑assuring others’ work.
• Proven ability to work across multiple countries and legal contexts.
• Trauma‑informed, survivor‑centred approach to interviews and disclosures.
• Strong alignment with GiveDirectly’s values and core competencies.

Required skills

• Design and implementation of case‑management systems.
• Use of automation and AI tools to streamline investigative processes.
• Professional fluency in English and working proficiency in French, Swahili or Portuguese.
