Senior Sales Executive (Logistics)

About the role

Our client, a leading logistics and supply‑chain solutions provider operating across Kenya and East Africa, is seeking a Senior Sales Executive to expand its customer base and drive revenue growth in freight forwarding, customs clearance, transportation, warehousing and third‑party logistics services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development plans to meet sales, revenue and gross profit targets.
• Identify, pursue and acquire new customers across all logistics service lines.
• Build and maintain relationships with importers, exporters, manufacturers, NGOs, retailers and other decision‑makers throughout East Africa.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial presentations, negotiate terms and close new business.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, track opportunities in CRM systems and provide regular forecasts.
• Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service and Finance to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and represent the company at industry events.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years recent experience in business development or sales within an international freight forwarding, logistics or 3PL company.
• Proven experience selling international freight forwarding, customs clearance, transportation, warehousing and integrated logistics solutions.
• Hands‑on experience handling air, sea and road freight across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Rwanda.
• Existing network of customers and decision‑makers in the East African logistics and supply‑chain market.
• Track record of achieving sales, revenue and gross profit targets.
• Willingness to travel throughout East Africa.
