Senior Software Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a global leader in software development on a contract basis. This remote position focuses on designing, building, and maintaining high‑performance, scalable applications while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimise full‑stack software systems to meet performance and scalability goals.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define technical requirements and roadmaps.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern frameworks and languages.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across distributed systems.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical planning sessions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior‑level software engineer working independently in a remote environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and deep understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
• Ability to work collaboratively with product and engineering teams.

Required skills

• Backend languages: Python, Java, Go
• Frontend frameworks: React, Angular, Vue.js
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
• Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• Databases: relational (SQL) and NoSQL, including schema design and optimisation
