Senior Software Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a global leader in software development on a contract basis. The position is fully remote and focuses on designing, building, and maintaining high‑performance, scalable applications while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimise backend and frontend systems to meet performance and scalability goals.
• Work with product managers and engineers to define technical requirements and roadmaps.
• Write clean, maintainable code using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across distributed systems.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical planning sessions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior‑level full‑stack engineer.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Required skills

• Backend languages: Python, Java, Go
• Frontend frameworks: React, Angular, Vue.js
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
• Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• Databases: relational (SQL) and NoSQL, including schema design and optimisation

• Microservices architecture and distributed systems principles
