Server & Systems Security Administrator

About the role

The Server & Systems Security Administrator is responsible for the security, availability and performance of Mawingu’s servers and overall IT infrastructure. The role involves secure configuration, continuous monitoring, patch management and proactive risk mitigation in an on‑site ISP environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the security, reliability and optimal performance of Windows and Linux servers, as well as Azure cloud services.
• Configure, monitor and patch systems, manage backups, and respond to vulnerability incidents to keep business‑critical services operational.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field, with at least 3 years of systems administration or security experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux and Azure platforms, plus networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs and security tooling.
• Hands‑on experience with patching, backup strategies, vulnerability assessment and disaster‑recovery processes; scripting ability in PowerShell or Bash is required.
