Service Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Service Operations Supervisor manages client relationships and ensures the accurate delivery of payroll, tax, and related services. This role acts as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, driving retention and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact for an assigned client group, coordinating user setup, training, and ongoing support.
• Monitor payroll processing for accuracy, resolve errors, and oversee Payroll Specialists' work.
• Identify at‑risk clients, collaborate with internal consultants, and implement retention strategies.
• Lead client meetings for escalated issues, recommend product enhancements, and manage fee adjustments.
• Handle tax account registration, payroll tax notices, and provide state/federal reporting guidance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2–4 years of customer service, payroll, or HRIS experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite – Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience with web‑based payroll and reporting platforms.
