Shopper Marketing & Activations Manager

About the role

The Shopper Marketing and Activations Manager is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Nairobi. You will develop and execute shopper‑marketing strategies that boost brand visibility, encourage product trial and drive conversion across retail and experiential touchpoints.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement in‑store activations, promotions and point‑of‑sale materials in partnership with sales, brand and trade teams.
• Analyse shopper insights and campaign performance to optimise activation plans, budgets and ROI.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, managing agency and vendor relationships to ensure consistent brand messaging.
• Report on marketing activities and results to key stakeholders.
• Monitor retail and experiential touchpoints to ensure seamless execution of shopper experiences.

Required profile

• Proven experience in shopper marketing, trade marketing or brand activation, preferably within FMCG, beauty or retail sectors.
• Strong capabilities in campaign planning, project management and on‑the‑ground execution of retail activations.
• Ability to analyse data, shopper insights and performance metrics to inform strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear briefs, reports and presentations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field; knowledge of the Kenyan retail landscape and African consumer trends is a plus.
