Short-Form Video Editor – Content Clips & Distribution

About the role

AI Central Africa is building a world‑class content distribution team focused on turning long‑form podcasts, interviews and talks into viral short‑form videos for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and X. The role is ideal for creators who understand how to capture attention quickly and drive engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Edit podcast episodes, interviews and talks into 30–90 second clips that hook viewers.
• Create platform‑specific hooks, captions and subtitles.
• Publish edited clips to assigned social accounts and monitor performance.
• Analyse weekly metrics and iterate to improve engagement.

Required profile

• Proficiency with short‑form editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, InShot or Alight Motion.
• Strong sense of short‑form storytelling and current platform trends.
• Own a smartphone or laptop capable of video editing and a reliable internet connection.
• Active presence on at least one social platform (TikTok ≥ 10k followers, Instagram ≥ 5k, YouTube ≥ 1k subscribers, or X ≥ 5k followers) – exceptions possible for exceptional engagement.
• Portfolio with 2–3 sample edits.
• Availability of 5–8 hours per week and ability to meet weekly deadlines.
• Must be 16 years or older (parent/guardian co‑sign required if under 18).
