Short-Term Expert - Knowledge Transfer & Capacity Building

About the role

Sustainet Group Limited is seeking a short‑term expert to lead knowledge transfer and capacity‑building initiatives focused on systems integration and digital wallet solutions. The consultant will work on‑site in Nairobi, collaborating with regional teams and agricultural MSMEs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on training and mentorship to local partners on platform integration.
• Design and implement capacity‑building programmes for smallholder and agricultural MSMEs.
• Lead integration of digital wallet APIs and ensure seamless backend operations.
• Provide technical guidance on systems integration and platform scalability.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
• C1‑level proficiency in English.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems integration, backend engineering or platform operations.
• At least 3 years of experience with digital wallets and API integration.
• Regional experience (3 years) in any of Burundi, Cameroon, Colombia, Kenya, Nigeria, Peru, Uganda, Vietnam or Tanzania.
• Experience working with smallholders or agricultural MSMEs (3 years).
