Site Operations Supervisor (M/F)

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator (port, logistics, maritime and rail) in Africa and part of the MSC Group, is hiring a Site Operations Supervisor in Kenya. The role coordinates day-to-day Control Tower operations, including transport execution, operational communication, work instructions, reporting, shipment visibility and stakeholder coordination. It is a full-time, fixed-term position.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily site logistics so that cargo receipt, storage, dispatch and delivery follow project schedules, and supervise site teams and their resources.
• Monitor daily performance and implement corrective actions for delays, bottlenecks or service failures.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound cargo between ports, border points, warehouses and project sites, liaising with the Control Tower, transporters and clients on transport plans and convoy schedules.
• Act as the main operational contact for clients, coordinate inspections, handovers and meetings, and handle customer complaints.
• Promote QHSE compliance, conduct site inspections, investigate incidents and near misses, and exercise stop-work authority where risks are unacceptable.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports, track KPIs and maintain operational documentation and inventory records.
• Supervise, coach and develop site personnel, allocate work and monitor productivity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in logistics, transport or project operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, EPC or industrial logistics is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of project logistics, transport operations and site management.
• Working knowledge of QHSE management systems and project operations.
