Situation Analysis Consultant for SHINE Rehabilitation Project

About the role

Christian Blind Mission (CBM) seeks an experienced consultant to lead a comprehensive situation analysis for the SHINE Rehabilitation Project across seven counties in Kenya. The assignment will run for approximately 30 days in November 2026 and focuses on assessing rehabilitation services and community support mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a thorough analysis of rehabilitation services status, capacity, accessibility, utilization, quality, and financing in the target counties.
• Identify unmet needs of persons with disabilities and other populations requiring rehabilitation support.
• Document how families and communities organize support, care, and mutual aid, and how these practices interact with formal rehabilitation systems.
• Produce county‑specific findings on gaps, priorities, opportunities, and practical entry points for strengthening services.

Required profile

• 5‑9 years of experience in health, rehabilitation, monitoring and evaluation, or related fields.
• Proven experience conducting participatory, disability‑inclusive assessments for NGOs or development projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with local partners such as Nyabondo Centre for Persons with Disabilities and AIC CURE Children’s Hospital.
