Skilled Fundi/Carpenter – Nairobi (Full-time)

About the role

The Fundi/Carpenter will join a dynamic construction team in Nairobi, delivering high-quality wooden structures for residential, commercial and industrial projects. This full-time, on-site position involves building, installing, repairing and maintaining a variety of fittings and fixtures.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret diagrams, plans or written instructions to determine project requirements.
• Measure, cut and shape timber and other materials using hand and power tools.
• Assemble frames, partitions, doors, windows, cabinets and decorative trim.
• Perform finish carpentry tasks, including fitting and polishing of fittings.
• Maintain a clean, organised work area and report material needs or issues to supervisors.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure timely project delivery and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Fundi/Carpenter or in a similar construction role.
• Strong knowledge of framing methods and finish carpentry techniques.
• Ability to read basic plans, take accurate measurements and work with minimal supervision.
• Good physical stamina, attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Relevant vocational training or certification in carpentry is an advantage.
