Social Media Manager & Content Creator

About the role

The Social Media Manager & Content Creator will drive Vision Plus’s social presence across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn and YouTube. Working under the Senior Marketing Coordinator, you will turn marketing strategy and brand guidelines into engaging, on‑brand content that attracts, entertains and converts the Kenyan consumer.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously refine the social content strategy, defining pillars, mix and platform‑specific formats.
• Build and maintain monthly content calendars that align with campaigns, product launches and seasonal moments.
• Create, schedule and publish short‑form videos, graphics and copy weekly, ensuring correct format, hashtags and tags.
• Shoot and edit short‑form videos using CapCut or similar tools, and produce simple graphics with Canva.
• Run at least four content tests each month (formats, posting times, captions, hooks, thumbnails) and report learnings.
• Monitor performance metrics (reach, engagement, video views, follower growth) and prepare weekly/monthly performance reports.
• Engage authentically with the audience, respond to comments within 24 hours and escalate sensitive issues promptly.

• Ability to experiment with new formats quickly while maintaining consistent posting across multiple platforms.

Required skills

• Proficiency with short‑form video editing tools such as CapCut.
• Graphic creation using Canva or similar design tools.
• Experience with social media scheduling platforms (Meta Business Suite, Zoho Social, Buffer).
• Familiarity with AI content generation tools.
• Hands‑on experience managing TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn and YouTube channels.
