Social Media Marketing Intern

About the role

We are looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to support our digital presence at our Thika Road office. This role offers hands‑on experience in content creation, short‑form video production, and day‑to‑day social media management.

Key responsibilities

• Create engaging social media graphics using Canva and other design tools.
• Produce and edit short‑form videos for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn.
• Schedule and publish posts across multiple platforms.
• Assist with audience engagement and community management.
• Monitor trends and propose fresh content ideas.
• Help develop content calendars and campaign plans.
• Track basic performance metrics and prepare simple reports.
• Support broader digital marketing initiatives aimed at increasing brand visibility.
• Undertake additional marketing and content tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge and hands‑on experience with Canva.
• Familiarity with video editing tools such as CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere Rush or similar.
• Good understanding of major social media platforms and current trends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and within a team.
• Passion for social media, content creation and digital marketing.
