Software Commercial & Operations Manager

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Software Commercial & Operations Manager in Nairobi's CBD. The role combines commercial growth, sales operations, project performance monitoring and coordination of cross-functional teams for software and digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth by identifying target customers, industries, market opportunities and new business channels, and manage the sales pipeline, conversion performance and revenue forecasts while leading strategic, high-value opportunities.
• Develop recurring revenue through software support, maintenance, subscriptions and ongoing client services.
• Coordinate marketing campaigns and business development managers so that qualified leads flow through the sales cycle, and monitor seasonal demand, market trends, competitors and customer needs.
• Monitor commercial performance of software projects (scope, delivery commitments, revenue, costs, profitability, risks) and work with finance on invoicing, collections and outstanding payments.
• Coordinate business development, marketing, finance, client service and software development teams, set priorities and prepare performance reports with recommendations for improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Management, Information Technology or a related field.
• About 2-4 years of B2B commercial, business development, sales or operations experience; transferable experience may be considered.
• Proven understanding of B2B sales, customer acquisition, sales pipelines and commercial performance.
• Experience coordinating teams, managing client relationships and handling multiple priorities.
• Previous experience in a software company, technology firm, digital agency or SaaS environment is an advantage but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Strong numerical and analytical ability, with an understanding of revenue, costs, profitability and commercial reporting.
• Confidence working with technology products, software solutions and digital services.
