Software Developer/Analyst – Data & Analytics (IRC)

About the role

The Software Developer/Analyst will support IRC’s global measurement technology stack, including CommCare, Power Platform and Azure‑based data warehouses. The role combines software development, data analysis and tier‑2/3 technical support for program data across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse requirements with MEAL and program teams to design and improve measurement technology products.
• Develop, configure and maintain Power Platform applications, Power BI dashboards and Azure data warehouse components.
• Create technical documentation, user guides and setup manuals for new tools.
• Provide Tier‑2/3 support, training and hyper‑support during pilot and rollout phases.
• Define and enforce data quality, security and configuration standards.
• Design and build DataMarts, multidimensional cubes and ad‑hoc tables for global dashboards.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience developing and rolling out data platforms for programs, including at least three years with CommCare and Power BI.
• Experience in public‑sector programming and monitoring & evaluation technology tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Analytical curiosity and problem‑solving using a systems‑thinking approach.
• Proven ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.

• Microsoft T‑SQL and data modelling for data warehouses.
• ETL design and automation using Azure Integration Services.
• Advanced MS Excel, including macro development.
• Mobile data collection and case‑management solutions.
• Enterprise data architecture, integration and master data management.
