Software Engineer - E-Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join an e‑commerce focused team that builds high‑performance backend services for a global platform. The position is fully remote and offers the chance to work on real‑time user experiences serving millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services in a distributed, micro‑services architecture.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following industry best practices.
• Profile, debug and optimise system performance and algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to deliver features on schedule.

Required profile

• New‑grad or early‑career engineer with a strong foundation in computer science.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while communicating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Passion for solving complex technical challenges at scale.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Python or Java.
• Experience or familiarity with distributed systems, micro‑services and cloud‑native development.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms and system design principles.
• Version control with Git and CI/CD pipeline concepts.
