Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a leading FinTech client, working remotely to develop and maintain core financial platforms that handle real‑time transactions and data processing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services for financial transaction processing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways.
• Implement robust security measures to ensure compliance with financial regulations and data privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimise downtime and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Java, Python or Go for backend development.
• Experience with financial transaction systems or payment processing.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases for financial data storage.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and containerisation technologies.
• Ability to write unit and integration tests.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of security best practices and financial compliance requirements.
