Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a leading FinTech client, working remotely to design and build core financial platforms that handle real‑time transactions for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services that process financial transactions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways.
• Implement robust security controls to meet financial‑regulation and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents to minimise downtime and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Java, Python or Go for backend development.
• Experience with financial transaction systems or payment processing.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, micro‑services architecture and API design.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to write unit and integration tests and work with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using Git for version control and awareness of security best practices and financial compliance.
