Soil Science Consultant (Full-Time)

About the role

The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) is looking for a Soil Science Consultant to join its team in Nairobi, Westlands. This full‑time position will provide expert soil science advice to support the Centre’s research and development programmes. The role involves working within multicultural, multidisciplinary teams in a non‑profit environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consultancy services in soil science for ongoing projects.
• Conduct soil assessments, analyses and interpretation of results.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate soil science findings into programme design.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in soil science, agronomy, environmental science or a related field.
• Fluent spoken and written English; additional international language(s) a plus.
• Experience working in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams, preferably within a non‑profit organization.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
