Solar Sales Representative – Mid‑Level (Kenya)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Sales Representative with a strong background in solar and energy storage sales to expand our market presence across Kenya and the wider East African region. The role focuses on driving new business, building strategic partnerships, and delivering tailored energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the solar energy storage market in Kenya and East Africa, create sales strategies and achieve performance targets.
• Establish partnerships with local power companies, energy developers, and government agencies to promote project implementation.
• Analyse market demand and provide customized solutions for industrial, commercial, and off‑grid photovoltaic systems.
• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure smooth project progression from bidding to delivery.
• Prepare regular market reports tracking industry developments, pricing policies, and competitive landscape.
• Travel as needed for business trips within the region.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the solar or energy storage industry with a successful project case in Kenya.
• Familiarity with Kenya and East Africa energy markets, local policies and customer needs.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, energy engineering or related field; industry certifications are a plus.
• Kenyan citizenship or valid work permit and clean criminal record.

• Strong command of Office software.
• Ability to work with data analysis software.
