Storekeeper – Inventory & Materials Management

About the role

The Storekeeper will be based on‑site in Nairobi, overseeing the daily receipt, unloading and storage of raw materials and finished products for Quality Meat Packers. The role ensures accurate documentation, safe handling and timely availability of supplies for production and logistics teams.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unload and store incoming materials, maintaining proper documentation and hygiene standards.
• Organise, pack and rotate stock while conducting regular physical inventory checks to reconcile with system records.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory records in the ERP system and generate reports as required.
• Coordinate with procurement, production and logistics to guarantee timely supply flow and adherence to halal‑compliance requirements.
• Operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment safely, and keep the store area clean and orderly.
• Report any discrepancies, damages or shortages promptly to management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in warehouse or storekeeping, preferably in food manufacturing or meat processing.
• Strong inventory control and record‑keeping abilities with basic numeracy skills.
• Ability to follow strict hygiene, safety and halal‑compliance protocols.
• Vocational qualification or certificate in storekeeping/warehouse operations is advantageous.
