Duty Manager – Passenger Services

About the role
Swissport is looking for a Duty Manager to lead its Passenger Services team. The role combines operational planning, staff leadership and customer experience management to ensure smooth airport operations.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and allocate resources daily to meet customer and operational requirements.
- Monitor overtime and ensure resources are used efficiently within budget.
- Supervise staff attendance, manage absences and lead disciplinary processes.
- Coach, develop and performance‑manage the team, fostering an open feedback culture.
- Report critical issues such as flight irregularities or safety incidents to senior management.
- Maintain compliance with SOPs, regulatory standards and the Corporate QHSE Manual.
- Investigate accidents, complaints or irregularities and contribute to operational change.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years experience in Passenger Services within aviation.
- At least 3 years of experience leading a customer‑service team.
- Working knowledge of DCS systems.
- Strong leadership, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
