About the role
We are seeking a Strategic Project Lead to drive end‑to‑end hardware development of PCB and AI platforms. This remote position will coordinate cross‑functional teams—including hardware engineers, firmware developers, mechanical designers, and manufacturing partners—to deliver high‑quality prototypes and production‑ready designs that meet business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for PCB and embedded system designs, aligning scope, timelines, and resources with business goals.
- Lead collaboration between hardware, firmware, and third‑party vendors to ensure prototypes are delivered on schedule and within budget.
- Oversee PCB layout reviews, signal‑integrity analysis, component selection, and design‑for‑manufacturing considerations.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, risk mitigation strategies, and quality‑assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Present technical and business updates to senior leadership and secure necessary approvals and resources.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in PCB design and embedded systems development, with at least 3 years in a project leadership or management role.
- Proven ability to manage complex hardware projects across multiple disciplines and external partners.
Required skills
- PCB design tools: Altium Designer, KiCad, Cadence Allegro
- Embedded firmware development in C/C++ and debugging with JTAG or logic analyzers
- Industry standards: IPC‑2221, IPC‑A‑610, UL certification processes
- Signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management expertise
- Version control (Git) and hardware documentation tools (Confluence, Jira)
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and supply‑chain coordination
