About the role
The Hubs Strategy and Sustainability Lead Specialist provides senior leadership for the strategic direction, governance and long‑term sustainability of the timbuktoo Hubs across Africa. Based in Nairobi, the role ensures the hub network operates as a coherent, high‑performing platform integrated with UniPods, incubation partners and financing instruments.
Key responsibilities
- Lead overall strategic direction, governance and stakeholder engagement for all timbuktoo hubs, aligning them with the initiative’s mission and geographic distribution.
- Oversee hub launch‑readiness, maturity planning and operational scalability, ensuring decisions are grounded in strategic relevance and sustainability.
- Design and enforce quality‑assurance frameworks, SOPs and reporting structures to guarantee consistent programme delivery across pre‑incubation, incubation and acceleration phases.
- Develop and manage hub budgets and resource allocation within delegated authority, and create operational dashboards for real‑time performance monitoring.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best‑practice dissemination among hubs, and coordinate with hub managers and programme managers to track performance indicators.
