About the role
The Public Service Commission, through the State Department for Housing and Urban Development, is offering a 12‑month Structural Engineering internship as part of the Affordable Housing Programme (Cohort 2). The role supports housing development projects across Kenya and provides hands‑on experience in engineering and project marketing.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out duties assigned by supervisors in line with the Affordable Housing Programme.
- Document skills acquired and contribute to marketing of project sites nationwide.
- Participate in mentorship activities and take on additional programme‑specific tasks.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognised university.
- Graduated no earlier than 2020.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Never participated in a similar internship programme.
Required skills
- Computer literacy (e.g., MS Office, engineering software).
What we offer
- 12‑month non‑renewable internship.
- Stipend paid at a rate determined by the Government.
- Certificate upon successful completion.
