Supply Chain Intern – Nairobi

About the role

The Supply Chain Intern will support Save the Children’s logistics unit in Nairobi, assisting with asset and warehouse management as well as processing procurement requests for the country office and field locations. This role provides hands‑on experience in humanitarian supply chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive goods in the warehouse, verify quantities against delivery notes, and coordinate program inspection of items.
• Provide coverage for the Supply Chain Assistant by releasing program stock, arranging warehouse space, and updating bin cards.
• Assist in planning and executing dispatches to field offices, ensuring all documentation is complete.
• Update stock movements in the TIM system and maintain accurate records of inventory transfers.
• Support fleet operations by analysing running costs, utilisation, and vehicle rotation, and report any gaps.
• Handle incident and accident insurance claims and assist with negotiations for insurance benefits.
• Consolidate fleet‑related procurement, such as tires, across field offices.
