About the role
The Supply Chain Intern will support Save the Children’s logistics unit in Nairobi, assisting with asset and warehouse management as well as procurement processing for both the country office and field locations. This role offers hands‑on experience in supply chain operations within a humanitarian context.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and verify incoming goods, ensuring quantities match delivery notes and coordinating with programmes for inspection.
- Provide warehouse coverage, release programme stock for distribution, arrange storage, and maintain bin cards.
- Assist in planning and executing dispatches to field offices, updating stock movements in the TIM system.
- Support fleet data analysis, monitor running costs, utilisation, and vehicle rotation across field sites.
- Help process incident/accident insurance claims and negotiate benefits.
- Contribute to consolidation of fleet‑related procurement (e.g., tyres) and share information with the procurement team.
